The International School of Hamburg, known to students as ISH, is an independent, coeducational day school,[1] founded in 1957. In early 2010 it moved into a new building in the Osdorf quarter of Hamburg

Students from across the planet meet here for various reasons, parents' job relocations, or just an interest in cultural mixing or switching of schools to learn English or more.

ISH has been an IB world school since October 1978, and therefore offers the IB Diploma Programme.[2]

The school is in a sport program for international schools called NECIS. The students have choices of soccer, volleyball, basketball, softball, girls' soccer, rugby and swimming. The students also have a choice of musical activities after school. In the Music Enrichment Program they can sign up for singing lessons, guitar lessons, piano lessons, drumming lessons, violin lessons and more. There are also a few choices of ballet and hip hop dancing available after school.
